The predecessor was China Energy Import and Export Corporation, which was founded in July 1982. In April 2003, based its core capital, China National Energy Group Company was established, which was then restricted in April 2009 and prepared to list in Hong Kong. In May 2011, it was renamed to China National Energy Co., LTD, and officially stationed in Hong Kong. The abbreviation of China National Energy Company Co., Ltd is CNE.
